Tyson Mansbridge

Senior Physiotherapist & Founder of HPL

Tyson’s journey into physiotherapy began on the sporting field. Growing up immersed in team sports, multiple injuries and countless hours spent in physiotherapy clinics sparked his passion for the profession. Having competed in AFL, track and field, trail running, and even netball, Tyson understands firsthand the physical demands and emotional challenges that come with injury and performance. Fascinated by the science of the human body during school and university, physiotherapy became the perfect intersection of his love for sport, movement, and problem-solving. Over the years, he’s developed a strong personal philosophy: to redefine how physiotherapy is delivered, moving beyond quick fixes and generic advice, and instead creating structured, evidence-based pathways that empower people to achieve their goals.

Expertise & Special Interests

Tyson has a special interest in ACL rehabilitation, hamstring injuries, and knee conditions, with a focus on bridging the gap between rehab and performance. He uses objective testing, progressive loading, and performance programming to ensure athletes and everyday people alike don’t just recover, they return stronger. He’s also passionate about performance testing, return-to-sport criteria, and challenging outdated rehab models to lift the standard of care across the industry.

Fun Fact / Personal Touch

A long-suffering Carlton Blues supporter (there’s always next year 🫠), Tyson is equally at home in the clinic, on the beach, or behind the decks as a DJ, where performance just takes on a slightly louder form. He balances his professional precision with a love of music, saltwater, and strong coffee. Above all, he’s driven to raise the bar for physiotherapy on the Gold Coast, blending elite sports rehab with personalised, human-first care for every patient who walks through the door.
